Integrate STEM Fuse Content in Outside LMS

In this article, we'll cover the basics on what you can and cannot integrate into outside LMSs (learning management system). It is important to note that STEM Fuse does not recommend this, as we're unable to provide any assistance regarding these LMSs.

Some examples of outside LMSs include but are not limited to:

  • Google Classroom
  • Schoology
  • Edmodo
  • Canvas

Assignments

STEM Fuse Educate includes the ability to assign, grade, and provide feedback within the platform for users. If you can avoid using an outside LMS to assign STEM Fuse assignments, we recommend doing so.

If you prefer to assign STEM Fuse assignments in an outside LMS, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Assignment page in Educate
  2. Click the Create a Copy link to make a copy of the assignment from Educate
  3. Log in to your Google account (if not already) and click the Make a Copy button
  4. This will open the assignment in a Google tool (Docs, Slides, or Sheets)
  5. Click the blue Share button (upper right) to open the Share link and permissions
  6. Under the Get Link section, change permissions to Anyone with the Link Can View
  7. Click the Copy Link button to copy the assignment link to your clipboard
  8. Depending on your outside LMS, use this link to assign the STEM Fuse assignment to your students

Lessons, Projects, & Assessments

If you wish to link to a particular lesson, project, assessment, or other learning object via your outside LMS, please note that anyone who tries to access that link must log in to their STEM Fuse account to view the content.

All content on the Educate platform is access controlled by account to avoid violating our terms and agreement.
