In this tutorial, we'll cover how notifications work in the Educate platform. All users can receive notifications, however, the nature of the notifications depends on your user role. All notifications can be seen by hovering over the bell icon in the upper right user menu. Let's take a look at the different types of notifications depending on user role types!

Teacher Notifications

Teachers receive notifications as it relates to the following Educate activities:

• Added Users - When students add themselves to your class using the provided Access Code, teachers will receive a notification with the name of the user that was added.
• New Content - If the STEM Fuse curriculum team adds new content to a course you have, we'll let you know with a notification update!
• Submitted Assignments - As students submit their assignments, teachers will receive notifications via their notifications bell, as well as the Recent Activity feed on their Dashboard.
• Completed Quizzes - Teachers will receive notifications when Quizzes have been completed by students.
• Support Center - If teachers have open Support Center tickets, any responses from our Support Team members will trigger a response for teacher to check their tickets.

Student Notifications

Students receive notifications as it relates to the following Educate activities:

• Added to a Class - If an existing student user is invited to a class, they'll receive a notification outlining which teacher added them and to what class they were added.
• Assignment Feedback - Students will receive notifications of all teacher graded points and feedback as it relates to submitted assignments.
• Quiz Reports - As Quiz Reports are released, students will receive a notification and link for students to view the results of their Quiz assessment.
• Reminders - If a teacher has sent a student an Assignment reminder, they'll receive a notification with a link to that Assignment and reminder text or information.

General platform notifications from the STEM Fuse team in the forms of informational banners and promotional content will also occasionally appear to all user types on the users' Dashboard.
